The Year-End Quick Fix (Q05) has been installed in ALL Hosted Test and Production environments.
Users can validate if their environments have been updated by launching the About eCMS menu. In the About eCMS menu (2nd screen), look for the “Current Build” field, it should state Q05 at the end of the build information and the “Installed:” field, the date should state 2021-01-25. The latest version was created on 2021-01-25.
Users need to restore the 1099MISC and 1099NEC eForms once Q05 is installed to see the changes.
We are diligently working on resolving the issues related to the Year-End Quick Fix (Q05).
We have identified the following items that need to be addressed:
- 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC had envelope alignment problems.
- 1099-NEC is missing the Payer’s area code.
- Box 001 is not printing on the 1099 Register
We will be sending out a note as soon as we have fixes available for customer installation.
- The Q05 update does NOT require users to be logged out of eCMS.
- The changes will take effect immediately.
- eForms needs to be “Restored” once Q05 is installed.
Once the Q05 update has been packaged and is available for customer installation, we will start updating customers’ production environments.
Hosted Environments. Our goal is to update the Hosted environments within the next 12-48 hours.
Enterprise/On-Premise Environments. Following the submitted customer incidents requesting the update, we will start contacting Enterprise customers to get connection information and to deliver the update. We expect Enterprise customers to be updated within the next 48 hours as well.
A Year-End Quick Fix (Q041) for processing both 1099MISC and 1099NEC forms is now available. We encourage our customers to hold off printing their 1099 forms until they have the Quick Fix installed.
The Quick Fix is addressing the following items:
1099MISC—To align the front page copies to align better the pre-printed back for the recipient copy and payer copy on form 5173
1099NEC—To align the Addresses to properly fit into envelope 22222; Also align front pages to match pre-printed back on form 5173NEC
The Quick Fix does NOT require a dedicated environment.
CGC’s Software Delivery Team will be adding the Quick Fix (Q041) to all future Q04 updates.
CGC’s Software Delivery Team will be updating the Hosted environments with the Quick Fix (Q041).
Enterprise/On-Premise Customers need to run a command and if the command comes back with an empty list, they need to get the Quick Fix. See the commands per eCMS environments below.
